RV Design is a Dutch family business specializing in furniture design and distribution. The company was founded by Jan van Hassel immediately after the Second World War under the name Habe Meubelfabriek. In the 1960s, Habe introduced its first series of television furniture and started importing chairs from Italy. In the 1980s, the company expanded its imports to countries such as Belgium, France, Spain, Italy, Romania and Indonesia. Today, production is mainly outsourced to China, with a focus on large volumes such as chairs and table bases, while upholstered furniture and custom work is produced in the Netherlands and Eastern Europe. The third generation, represented by Ronald Verdult, has continued the company under the name RV Design.
RV Design’s product range focuses primarily on living room furniture, with an emphasis on chairs and tables. In addition, the brand offers bar stools, armchairs, small furniture, TV cabinets, bookcases and sideboards. The design is developed in-house, closely following trends and customer needs. Recently, there has been a shift to European production in order to be able to react faster to the market and better meet specific requirements.
